On July 3rd–5th, 2023, the product specialist of the Surveying Instruments Division participated in Trimble APAC GEDO Training in Jakarta, Indonesia. This training aimed to present, demonstrate, and practice the new technology for railway surveying solutions.

 The Trimble GEDO CE 2.0 track measurement trolley is the main unit of the modular Trimble GEDO Track. The trolley was made of lightweight aluminum with an optional extension, so it can easily be adapted to different track gauges. The sensors on the trolley can measure the gauge with high accuracy (0.3 mm). The surveyors only push the trolley on the track, then let the software collect all the accurate data (Gauge Cant Chainege) and send it to the GEDO office for further processing and analysis.

 The Trimble GEDO Scan was also presented and demonstrated at the training. The combination of the advanced and flexible Trimble laser scanning system and the GEDO track measurement system provides high-resolution three-dimensional data that can be obtained quickly and precisely and can be used for clearance analysis and as-built data collection.
