On September 4, 2024, the Survey Instruments Division held a seminar titled “Wingtra Demo Day” at Thammasat University. The event featured lectures and live demonstrations led by experts from the company and distinguished international speakers. Over 100 participants from both public and private sectors attended the seminar.

The initial part of the seminar consisted of a lecture on LiDAR technology principles in aerial imaging, covering the components and features of the equipment, as well as the benefits and limitations of aerial surveying using LiDAR technology.

In the subsequent session, the speakers demonstrated field operations, from setting up the LiDAR payload, configuring the system for survey flights, to data processing steps. The data collected from the demonstration flight showcased high-resolution accuracy, enabling classify differentiation of terrain features, such as trees and utility poles.

The use of Drone LiDAR technology is an innovative and growing trend today, enhancing the speed and precision of area surveys and analysis. This technology is suitable for multiple industries, including construction, natural resource management, spatial research and development, and digital data storage (DTM, DSM), among others.
