From February 9–13, 2026, the Surveying Instruments Division served as instructors for a training program on the use of the Trimble R980 GNSS Receiver for officers of the Royal Forest Department at the Siam Grand Hotel, Udon Thani Province.

The training began with classroom lectures covering the operation of the Trimble R980 GNSS Receiver in combination with the Trimble TSC7 and Trimble TSC5 controllers. Participants were then taken to field training sessions, where they engaged in hands-on demonstrations and practical exercises in both Static and RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) surveying methods. The collected coordinate data was subsequently processed using Trimble Business Center (TBC) software.

By the end of the training, participants had gained a strong understanding of GNSS surveying techniques and were able to effectively apply the collected data to enhance their ongoing work with improved efficiency and productivity.
